New Music: The Broderick – “Lost In Static”

I’m still in shock that this song is actually real and that I am listening to it at this very moment. Bloomington rockers The Broderick has finally released a single from their upcoming self-titled album. I stress the “finally” because the band members have literally been telling me they would put out an album ever since I met them… nearly four years ago. However, lack of an album hasn’t stopped The Broderick from playing some of the best opening and headlining spots in Bloomington, touring the country, or being featured in SXSW showcases, so there must be some magic to the method.

The new song, “Lost In Static“, is a pretty epic rock track full of constant shifts in dynamics that are tied together by frontman Max Mullen’s sustained vocals. The track was recorded at bassist Eric Day’s Sleepwalk Recording studio. Let’s hope to see the following album within the next few months…or even weeks?
