Dreamers of the Ghetto on LaundroMatinee

Back in January, local band Dreamers of the Ghetto shared the stage with Maps & Atlases in Indianapolis, and they weren’t able to head home without recording a session with LaundroMatinee. Check out the session from Lovebird Recordings featuring videos and MP3s of their tracks “Tether” and “Regulator”.

I wasn’t sure about Dreamers of the Ghetto, easily noted as Bloomington’s ‘buzz band’ of 2010. The band was oddly named, the group photos looked almost uncomfortably eerie, and they seemed to really enjoy face paint and skin-tight costumes. I’m not saying that any of those things are necessarily bad, but it definitely catches one’s attention in a less than usual way. Yet, despite all the oddities, nothing could top the hype. Everyone seemed to LOVE this band. I saw the band recently when they performed with Murder By Death at Russian Recording and finally saw what it was all about. Not only was the music great, but the live performance was full of energy, I was hooked.  If you have not yet seen or heard this band, PLEASE correct that situation.  ASAP
