Nineteenth State Productions, the same folks that brought you that oh-so-enticing “Slime” video for local band Sleeping Bag is at it again, this time creating another great vid for another local band, Tammar. The band released its latest full-length album Visits today on Suicide Squeeze Records and believe me, this album has been a long time coming. So much, in fact, that the first single and video “The Last Line” is the second song I ever heard by Tammar…about two years ago, making it totally appropriate that the revamped song finally earns well-deserved attention in video format.
The awesome new video premiered today on Pitchfork. It features some great shots of that well-known Indiana limestone, and excellent footage of what I love best about seeing this band live: darkness, flickering-moving light from an oddly placed video projector, and the energy that the combination of sound amid darkness and light creates. If you have never seen this band, it looks pretty much just like this, and it is awesome…every time.
